About Wonderland Educare

Wonderland Educare is a preschool situated in Sunningdale, Cape Town and has about 15 staff members. On average, our staff spend about 6 years with the school until they fondly move onto other endeavours. We are lucky however, that one of our teachers has been with us over 13 years!
Breakfasts are served between 08:00 – 08:30 and lunch between 12:00 – 12:30.
Your child’s daily Activity Lists can be obtained from Teachers for your perusal.

Notebooks are essential for each child and are used as a means of communication between teachers and parents. This notebook must be signed by the parent after reading the message.
If your child has a non-contagious illness parents are required to write this in the child’s notebook. You will also need to stipulate the required medication dosages and administration time.  Medical containers must be clearly with your child’s name and surname.
Children that have lice or any infectious diseases will unfortunately not be allowed into our school before a doctors clearance certificate is produced.
All clothing is required to be marked.  Although we take every possible precaution to prevent theft and loss, we unfortunately can’t be held responsible for loss of property.
Changes to  work, home address or phone numbers must be brought to the principals attention as early as is possible so we can update our records.

Wonderland School Policy

Our policy is expressed in plain English and post the following requirements.
School hours are from 06:30 – 18:00 (Monday-Friday). Our staff go off duty at 18:00 and any later collections after this time will result in a R100 fine. This late fee needs to paid directly to the staff member on duty upon collection of your young one.

All school fees are required to be fully paid in by no later than the 3rd of each month. School fees are reviewed annually. A calendar months’ notice in writing is required should you wish to remove your child from our school. If this written notice is not produced, one month’s school fees need to be paid.
Fees are required to be paid in full, even if your child is away on holiday or off sick. An extra 2% will be charged if payments are made after the 3rd of the month.

The school closes once a year for about fifteen working days during Christmas and New year’s. Please note that December fees are still payable in full, fees are calculated at 48 weeks per annum and not the normal 52 weeks, which compensates for the days we are closed.
