A Montessori education
At Montessori children are encouraged to think for themselves and engage in creative problem solving. Instead of our teachers telling children the right answers we urge our kids to discover these answers for themselves. Our classroom is more than a mere four walls, it’s a community where children can feel loved and cared for. Children of varying ages learn next to each other, which enables each child to learn and grow at their own pace. They are also able to then identify their own unique strengths and weaknesses and thus develop these accordingly. Our school environment is prepared and organised into various areas to cater for math skills, sensory development, cultural activities, art and music. We keep our classrooms quiet and children are allowed to stimulate themselves with the topics and area’s that interest them the most. All our children are free to move as they please around our school environment and select any activity they wish to partake in. They can take anything the wish from the shelves, play with it and put it back when finished.
