Welcome to Fish on the Rocks, one of the best Cape Town Destinations to visit! We are situated right by the Hout Bay Fishing Harbour and the old naval heritage site. Our restaurant is warm and welcoming with yellow walls, a red roof and a whole bunch of flags flying in the Cape Town wind.

As you wait to enter our restaurant you will be drawn to the various newspaper cuttings on our walls which are full of family photos and reviews of our wonderful eatery. These newspaper cuttings tell our story throughout the years and we are ever adding to our growing collection.

At Fish on the Rocks we are very family orientated, we know there nothing that beats a drive to Hout Bay, a walk on our beach or a drive around Chapman’s Peak and we encourage patrons to undertake these activities and then come and join us for a fantastic family lunch.

We offer a wide range of delicious meals at Fish on the Rocks including our signature 5 star 24 prawn combo, divine hake, calamari and snoek dishes to name a few. We have beaches outside our establishment where you can site an eat your meal whilst listening to the sound of tug boats, children laughing and playing and crowds chatting away. If you are lucky, you might be entertained by the travelling musicians which also pop up announced from time to time.

Fish on the Rocks is a child friendly restaurant that is open 10am until 8pm in the summer and until 9pm in the winter. We are also famous for our traditional New Year’s Day gatherings and are a popular destination for school groups, old age groups and even the biker fraternity.

Come and visit us for a true Cape Town eating experience.
