Method

1. Print template onto craft cardboard.
2. Cut around the letter A or a.
3. Thread wool onto needle.
4. Thread wool through the circles marked on the template, starting and ending on the reverse side.
5. Secure start and end strands of wool by tying knots.

Method

1. Thread a bead onto a pin and pierce the polystyrene ball, pushing down until the bead is secure between the polystyrene ball and the pin head.
2. Continue with beads and sequins until the desired pattern is achieved.
3. Create a loop with the fishing line and tie around a pinned bead on the polystyrene ball.
4. Trim excess fishing line.
5. Hang your beaded bauble on your Christmas tree.

5x Empty cardboard boxes (small, different sizes and shapes)
5x Pieces patterned paper (different black & white patterns)
2x Wooden rods (equal lengths)
Fishing line
Needle

Method

1. Glue the two wooden rods across each other to form an ‘x’.
2. Allow to dry.
3. Cover an empty cardboard box with patterned paper, and secure with sticky tape.
4. Continue to cover the remaining four cardboard boxes, each with different patterned paper.
5. Using a needle threaded with fishing line, pierce a covered cardboard box, and thread the fishing line through the centre. 
6. Tie a knot at one end of the fishing line to secure the box.
7. Tie the top of the fishing line to one end of a wooden rod.
8. Continue to tie a covered box (at varying lengths) to each end of the wooden rod ‘x’ (four in total).
9. Tie the fifth box to the centre, where the two rods cross each other.
10. Tie a piece of fishing line to each of the rods and join together to hang the mobile.
11. Balance the mobile by moving the fishing line that is used to hang the mobile along the lengths of the wooden rods.

Notes

1. Instead of using patterned paper, create your own patterns using plain paper and crayons.

Method

1. Thread a feature bead onto the fishing line and tie securely – this will be the bottom of your beaded Christmas decoration.
2. Thread the beads in a pattern of your choice, or randomly if desired.
3. When you have reached the desired length of threaded beads, securely tie a knot in the fishing line to secure the beads.
4. Create a loop with the fishing line and tie a knot.
5. Trim excess fishing line.
6. Hang your beaded decoration on your Christmas tree.

Method

1. Paint wooden cut-out in the Christmas colours of your choice.
2. Allow to dry.
3. Thread fishing line through hole, tying a knot to create a loop.
4. Trim excess fishing line.
5. Hang on your Christmas tree.

Notes

1. Decorate with glitter for a sparkly decoration.

Method

1. Attach the jump ring to the spit ring.
2. Thread a feature bead onto the fishing line and tie securely – this will be the bottom of your key ring.
3. Thread the beads in a pattern of your choice, or randomly if desired.
4. When you have reached the desired length of threaded beads, securely tie the fishing line to the jump ring – the top of your key ring.

Method

1. Thread a feature bead onto the fishing line and tie securely – this will be the bottom of your sun catcher.
2. Thread the beads in a pattern of your choice, or randomly if desired.
3. When you have reached the desired length of threaded beads, securely tie the fishing line to create a loop for hanging – the top of your sun catcher.
   

Materials
Egg carton (one segment)
Paint (black)
Paint brush
2 Pipe cleaners (black)
Googley eyes
Glue
Scissors
Optional
Elastic

Method

1. Trim one segment of the egg carton.
2. Cut the pipe cleaners in half, creating four equal lengths for the legs.
3. Paint the egg carton with black paint, for the body.
4. Allow to dry.
5. Using the tips of a sharp pair of scissors, pierce four holes on the left and right sides of the egg carton (body).
6. Thread one pipe cleaner through a pierced hole, going in one side, across the middle, and out the other side.
7. Continue with the remaining pipe cleaners, threading through the remaining holes.
8. Bend the pipe cleaners to leg shapes.
9. Glue googley eyes to the front of the spider.
10. Allow to dry.

Notes

1. Pierce the top of the spider and securely tie elastic for a jumping spider.
2. Can be used as decorations for Halloween or birthday theme parties.

Method

1. Paint paper plate if not using a coloured paper plate.
2. Mark out section on the paper plate where the rays (wool threading) will be positioned. 
3. In this example the circle has been divided into eight sections, but more can be used if desired.
4. Thread the needle with wool, tying a knot on the end of the wool.
5. Starting at the first marking, thread the needle from the back of the paper plate to the front.
6. Thread the needle back into the paper plate, front to back, creating the first ray of sunshine.
7. Continue around the paper plate, until all the marked rays have been threaded with wool.
8. Securely tie off the wool at the back of the paper plate, and trim off excess wool.
9. If desired, draw with permanent marker, a smiley face on the sunny paper plate.

Method

1. Print template.
2. Cut out of cardboard two doughnut shaped templates.
3. Holding the two circular pieces of cardboard together, wrap wool around the card board ring.
4. Continue until the inner hole is completely closed by the wool.
5. Using sharp scissors cut through the outside wool strands.
6. Separate the two cardboard templates, and tightly tie a piece of wool to hold the now loose pieces of wool together.
7. Carefully remove both cardboard templates.
8. Trim pom-pom if necessary.

Notes
1.       Use pom-poms to make a variety of pom-pom creatures.
