Method

1. Print template onto craft cardboard.
2. Cut around the letter A or a.
3. Thread wool onto needle.
4. Thread wool through the circles marked on the template, starting and ending on the reverse side.
5. Secure start and end strands of wool by tying knots.

Method

1. Print template – lowercase a.
2. Colour the letter a in red, leaving the top of the stick.
3. Colour the top stick of the letter a in brown for the stalk.
4. Cut a leaf shape out of the green craft cardboard.
5. Stick leaf between the round red apple and the brown stick.
6. Allow to dry.
7. a is for apple.

Method

1. Print template – uppercase letter A.
2. Cut apple in half horizontally.
3. Dip apple in paint and stamp onto the letter A.
4. Repeat all over the letter A.
5. Allow to dry.
6. With scissors cut around the letter A.
7. Glue onto coloured craft cardboard.
8. Allow to dry.

Learn to write letters with this wipe clean book:

Ingredients
1 sheet ready rolled puff pastry
1 medium apple (150g), cored and thinly sliced
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon castor sugar
icing sugar for dusting

Optional
sprinkling of cinnamon

Method

1. Cut pastry into 9 squares.
2. Place on greased oven tray.
3. Divide apple slices among the pastry squares.
4. Sprinkle with combined castor sugar and brown sugar.
   
5. Bake at 180ºC for 30 minutes, or until puffed and lightly browned.
6. Cool on wire rack.
7. Dust with icing sugar before serving.

Notes

1. Combine cinnamon with castor sugar and brown sugar for sprinkling onto pastries before baking.

Method

1. Taking the fabric flower pull it apart, using scissors where necessary.
2. Keep aside the pieces you will use for your flower brooch.
3. Glue brooch pin to the back of your fabric flower.
4. Allow to dry.
5. Glue leaves to cover the brooch pin, adding to the flower brooch design.
6. Allow to dry.

Method

1. Glue popsicle sticks around a cardboard tube.
2. Place an elastic band around the popsicle sticks to hold in place.
3. Allow to dry.
4. Remove elastic band.
5. Tie or stick ribbon around the popsicle sticks.
6. Using glue, stick embellishments (or cutouts or motifs) to the popsicle sticks.
7. Allow to dry.
   

Notes

1. If using plain, uncoloured popsicle sticks, these can be painted before or after sticking to the cardboard tube.
2. Decorate with stickers instead of emebellishments, cutouts or motifs, as desired.
